The volunteers of the UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) team distributed relief materials to Syrian refugees families in the Jordanian governorate of Mafraq as part of a campaign during the Holy Month of Ramadan. The campaign coincides with the death anniversary of the founding father of UAE, late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the initiative launched by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to "clothe one million deprived children around the world". The UAE team is working in coordination and cooperation with the Jordanian Red Crescent Society and other charities working for the same cause to help Syrian refugees alleviate their burden of the tragic situation, which they are going through and providing them with basic necessities of life. The total number of beneficiaries have reached 1432 families, whereas 2026 food parcels have already been disbursed by the UAE team to enable these families spend their Eid days in the country. The campaign will continue during the coming days to include the largest number of Syrian refugees in Jordan in line with the relief plan prepared by the UAE RCA and carried out by the UAE relief team
