UAE minister hails Egypt for restoring leading role

UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Qarqash hailed Egypt for restoring its leading role in the region.

Qarqash on Sunday received the presidency of the 144th session of Arab League council at the level of foreign ministers.

He affirmed UAE full support for Egypt, saying safe, strong and stable Egypt represents a strong guarantee for the security of the Arab nation to face current huge challenges.

UAE chairs the 144th Ordinary Session of the Arab League's Council at the foreign ministers' level, being held at the AL's Secretariat-General in Cairo.

The Arab foreign ministers discuss a wide range of issues concerning the Arab joint action, mainly the current political, economic and social developments, and the draft resolutions prepared by the permanent representatives during their meetings over the last two days.
