
UAE Representative Office in Palestine, has been overseeing the implementation of several Ramadan projects since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.
The projects, which are funded by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), and Sharjah Charity International, will continue throughout the days of the month of Ramadan.
The office said in a statement that 6, 000 food parcels will be distributed in the Palestinian territories to the poor and needy Palestinians. It added that it also prepares Ramadan iftars and distributes about 16,000 meals throughout the month. The office said the Eid clothing project provided by the ERC to clothe orphans in Palestine, and Al Fitr Zakat in cooperation with charity bodies will be distributed at camps, villages and towns.
It added that these projects reflect good relations between the two peoples of the UAE and the Palestine as well as demonstrate good gestures of the Khalifa Foundation, ERC, and Sharjah Charity International, which are implementing the charitable projects in Palestine.
The beneficiary families expressed their appreciation for the significant role played by the UAE charity and humanitarian bodies under the guidance of the UAE leadership.
