The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has distributed some 352 relief packages to disabled individuals sponsored by two local rehabilitation societies in Mukalla, the provincial capital of Hadramout.
The aid, which included foodstuff, blankets and other essential material, is part of an intensive plan developed by the Emirati humanitarian major to alleviate the suffering of locals caught in the current difficult circumstances for more than a year.
A delegation from the ERC visited the two societies and noted that this underprivileged segment of the population has been deprived from basic needs for several years.
The delegates further noted that the agency is sending food and medical aid to residents across the province.
