
The UAE Foreign Ministry has summoned Lebanese Ambassador in Abu Dhabi Hassan Yousuf Sa'ad to hand a formal memo of protest following recent hostile statements made by Lebanon's Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah on Bahrain
UAE Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations Tareq Al-Hidan said his country severely condemns these hostile and unacceptable remarks as a blatant interference in the domestic affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Emirate News Agency (WAM) reported.
He added that such statements incite violence and terrorism and underline the security and stability of the UAE.
He affirmed that the UAE holds the Lebanese government fully responsible for these statements, calling on it to issue a clear statement condemning and denouncing such hostile statements.
