Various Yemeni political powers and the UN Envoy to Yemen Jamal Bin Omar held a meeting on Tuesday to reach a solution to the power vacuum in Yemen, Yemeni sources said.
During the meeting, they agreed to form a presidential council headed by resigned President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi.
The meeting comes at a time the General People's Congress (GPC) was insisting on its refusal to agree on any deal allowing Hadi to stay in power.
The gathering was fruitful as they went along with submitting a proposal to solve the current political crisis, Yemeni source who attended the meeting told Yemen Today newspaper.
