Eight ministers and 39 senior officials of the Ramallah-based Palestinian unity government arrived in the Gaza Strip Monday, in the second visit of its kind since the government formation in June.
Government spokesman Ihab Bseiso said that the visit aims to discuss the implementation of the remaining all provisions of the Cairo reconciliation agreement and to ease the Palestinian Authority's work in Gaza.
The government delegation would tackle the issue of Gaza crossings administration, electricity and water shortage and the delay in the reconstruction of Gaza.
The visit comes amid mounting criticism in Gaza of the unity government's failure to assert its authority in Gaza and coordinate the entry of reconstruction material.
