Up to 2328 illegal residents get drivers' licenses in Kuwait

A total of 2,328 driving licenses were issued for illegal residents between January and December (2014), the Central Agency for Remedying Illegal Residents' Status said on Saturday.
Director of the Information Department at the Agency Abdullah Al-Farhan told KUNA this period of time witnessed issuance of new driving permits for 1,226 male drivers, 1,102 for women, in addition to renewal of 18,911 licenses.
Al-Farhan affirmed that any illegal resident with a valid identity card can apply for a driving license.
