
The Vatican expressed its support to Egypt’s foreign policy on regional and international issues and efforts to promote international cooperation against terrorism, violence and extremism.
During a meeting with Vatican Under-Secretary for Relations with States Monsignor Antoine Camilleri, Egypt’s Ambassador here Hatem Seiful Nasr highlighted Egypt’s efforts on the domestic level to achieve the security and prosperity of its citizens.
The Egyptian envoy pointed out to completing the Egyptian parliamentary elections and said that the new parliament will convene before the end of the month.
The two sides also discussed means to promote bilateral relations in all fields, especially interfaith dialogue and fighting terrorism and extremism.
They probed regional and international developments, mainly the situation in Syria, Libya and Yemen.
