Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar on Sunday said recent violations by some policemen are completely rejected in substance and in essence.
Abdel Ghaffar told reporters that the Interior Ministry's strategy values human rights and works to preserve bonds of trust established between the citizens and the policemen by the revolutions of January 25 and June 30.
The minister condemned attempts to show some violations committed by policemen as systematic and collective policy the ministry's sectors. 'This is completely incompatible with the reality."
Any violator will be punished firmly and referred to the prosecution, the minister said.
He added that the dignity of citizens is a part of the dignity of the Interior Ministry and even the state.
Violations by a policeman or more does not reflect the course of action within the ministry, Abdel Ghaffar stressed.
We are surprised that some media outlets highlight violations by few officers, without highlighting sacrifices by the policemen in order to achieve security in the country, the minister said.
There are many threats against the country from home and abroad, and we must unite to deal with those challenges, he added.
The interior minister said that the Egyptian state is at a real war against terrorism, and the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood members are scheming against the police.
There is no any case of enforced disappearances in Egypt, he confirmed.
