Leader of Lebanon's Democratic Gathering Walid Jumblatt sent a cable to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi Tuesday, condemning the terrorist attack in North Sinai that left scores of officers and soldiers dead.
"This new terrorist attack stresses non-stop attempts to strike stability in Egypt and turn Sinai into a hotbed of terrorism," Jumblatt said in his cable.
This entails double effort to face escalating terrorism, Jumblatt said.
He condoled with the Egyptian people and families of the martyrs.
Jumblatt also sent a cable to Japanese Ambassador in Beirut Seiichi Otsuka, condoling with him for the beheading of Kenji Goto, the second Japanese hostage held by Daesh.
He also condoled with the Japanese government and people.
