The Water Resources Ministry is giving up some of its owned lands in Giza governorate because "they are no longer needed", Minister Hossam Moghazi said.
The ministry will give up the lands, nearly 50,000 square meters, to Giza governorate for the establishment of service projects, such as schools, mosques and youth centers, Moghazi said following a meeting with Giza Governor Mohamed Kamal el Daly.
He said the ministry and the governorate will coordinate security campaigns to seize violating vehicles, which dump waste in the Giza canals of Giza, Ibrahimiya and Mansouriya.
