Yemen is to partake in the 2nd meeting of the Directors General of Civil Aviation - Middle East Region (DGCA-MID /2), which is held in Jeddah ,Saudi Arabia during ( May 20-22). Chairman of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology Hamed Faraj news explained to Saba that the meeting will discuss over three days a number of important topics in the various areas of civil aviation, including security and safety of aviation and air transport and airport security in addition to displaying a number of working papers submitted by participating States in the conference. The meeting aims to develop unified visions and recommendations contributing to strengthening the joint Arab cooperation relations in the civil aviation field, Faraj added. Faraj pointed out that the General Assembly of the Arab Civil Aviation Commission (ACAC) will hold an extraordinary meeting in Jeddah on the sidelines of the conference for consultation and coordination between the Member States in the Assembly to choose candidates of the Arab bloc for the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in the upcoming elections of the organization in September in Canada.
