The Yemeni army and resistance forces, supported by the Arab coalition Apache gunships restored late Thursday a number of posts in Haylan mountain area in the eastern Marib province.
The resistance-affiliated Sabaa media center said Friday that the gains were achieved on back of fierce battles that lasted for long with Houthi and Saleh militias.
The support of Apache helicopters was decisive as it forced the militias to flee the scene, the center said.
The helicopters also destroyed weapons and ammunition stores in the area, it added.
Haylan mountain is the last strategic post that had been controlled by the Houthi and Saleh militias. Located to the east of Sanaa, the mountain is on top of two roads linking the capital to Marib.
