The government of Yemeni Prime Minister Khaled Bahhah on Thursday presented its resignation to President Abd-Rabbo Mansour Hadi.
In his letter of resignation, Bahhah wrote: "You know that we, as technocrat government, accepted the responsibility for leading the country to stability and development amid highly challenging and complicated conditions.
"Despite its short tenure, the government did its utmost to serve the homeland and contribute to its security and socio-economic stability," he added, noting that the government was formed on last November 7 and won the confidence of the parliament on December 18.
Bahhah concluded by apologizing to "the patient people of Yemen" for any failure resulting from circumstances that are outside his government's powers.
