Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa met on Wednesday in Cairo with Egyptian counterpart Hesham Qandil. During the meeting, Basindwa and Qandil reviewed the bilateral cooperation relations and prospects for improving them in various fields, especially economy, investment and trade. The Prime Ministers stressed the importance of activating the work of the Yemeni-Egyptian higher joint committee and reactivate the meetings between businessmen to increase the bilateral trade and investment exchange. Basindwa and Qandil exchanged views on the latest developments at the national, regional and international levels in the light of current events, in addition to several issues of common interest. The meeting also dealt with the achievements Yemen has made to succeed the transitional stage and meet the aspirations of the desired change, as well as the government's efforts and achievements to overcome the repercussions of the 2011 events.
