
Prime Minister Mohamed Salem Basindwa received on Wednesday a letter from Somali Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon relating to the bilateral cooperation relations. The letter handed over by Somali Minister Interior Abdulkarim Hussein Guled dealt with following up the implementation of the outcomes of Shirdon's visit to Sana'a last week. Basindwa expressed appreciation of the letter's content that showed the Somali Prime Minister's keenness to strengthen fraternal relations in various fields, wishing his Somali counterpart all success in achieving the Somali people's aspirations of security, stability and development. He stressed Yemen's permanent position in support of Somalia and all efforts to realize the national reconciliation and overcome the past effects. During the meeting, Interior Minister Abdul-Qader Qahtan and Somali Interior Minister briefed the Prime Minister on the progress of security talks between the two countries and reached outcomes.
