Yemeni President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi has expressed thanks and appreciation to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for granting AED 500 million as food-aid for the people of Yemen. The move is to alleviate the suffering and ensure the availability of basic needs to Yemeni population. Yemeni President's acknowledgment of appreciation came during his meeting with Abdullah Matar Al Mazroui, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen who called on him last night, in the presence of the Yemeni Prime Minister Mohamed Salem Basendwah. "This humanitarian gesture of the UAE leadership reflects the deep-rooted fraternal ties between the UAE and Yemen. UAE support to Yemen is a continuation of generous initiatives and legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan," he said. During the meeting, they discussed the mechanisms of food distribution to all regions and directorates in coordination with the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Humanitarian Foundation.
