
Yemen's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Abdul Malik Al-Mekhlafi, has stressed his country's keenness on achieving peace despite progress achieved on land by the National Army and Popular Resistance Forces.
Al-Mekhlaf made the remarks while meeting, separately, with Ambassadors of Egypt, China, Philippines and New Zealand to Yemen to discuss cooperation and coordination of viewpoints in the international events as well as the latest developments in the Yemeni arena.
While meeting with the Egypt's ambassador to Yemen Dr. Yousef al-Sharqawi, Al-Mekhlafi also expressed his country's appreciation to Egypt for its supportive stances to Yemen in the UN security Council, the legitimate government and the UN resolutions.
On his part, the Egyptian ambassador confirmed Egypt leadership's interest to coordinate with Yemen in the UN and all issues in the best interest of the Arab nation and the protection of the Arab's national security.
In a related context, the Yemeni minister, while meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Yemen Tian Qi, highlighted the Chinese supportive stances towards the constitutional legitimacy represented in Yemeni President, Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
Al-Mekhlafi also discussed with Philippine's Ambassador to Yemen Ezzedin H. Tag, bilateral relations between the two countries as well as the latest developments in the national, regional and global arenas.
While receiving credentials of new New Zealand's ambassador, Yemen's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister hoped that New Zealand would exert positive efforts with international group as New Zealand is a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
New Zealand's Ambassador confirmed his country's support to the Yemeni government.
