
Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Magdy el Agaty said Friday the government presented the youth and sports bills to the House of Representatives.
In statements, the minister added that Prime Minister Sherif Ismail informed Parliament Speaker Ali Abdel Aal of the presidential decree extending a state of emergency in some areas of Sinai.
The premier will deliver a statement before the parliament on this regard Monday or Tuesday, he added.
Agaty told reporters that the government has not sent the Egyptian-Saudi maritime border demarcation agreement to the parliament yet.
On media legislation, the minister said that the new bills aim to raise the ceiling of freedoms to the highest level.
The government took into account not to prejudice the rights and freedoms acquired by the journalists in the previous laws, he added.
