Former Tourism Minister Hisham Zaazou congratulated on Friday Khalid Ramy on holding the tourism portfolio in the Cabinet reshuffle, which was announced on Thursday.
In statements to MENA, Zaazou hailed the qualifications of the newly-appointed minister, saying that he is able to revive Egypt's tourism sector.
"I met with the new minister after the swearing-in ceremony yesterday and we have agreed on cooperation during the coming period," Zaazou said.
He also praised President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab for their efforts to serve Egypt during this critical stage.
Zaazou expected the Egypt Economic Development Conference, slated for March 13-15, to achieve success.
On Thursday, the presidency announced a Cabinet reshuffle that included eight ministries.
