As many as 46 listed companies increased their capital with five billion EGP, he said.
These companies represent 18 percent of firms which benefited from finance programs with capital hitting EGP 28 billion over the past three years, Omran said.
Despite difficult challenges facing the Egyptian economy, eight new companies have been listed on the bourse in 2016, he added.
In 2016, the bourse acted to attract promising companies into the market and offered many facilities to companies that seek to be listed on the stock exchange, according to Omran.
