
A total of 10 airstrikes against ISIL targets were carried out in Syria and Iraq on Wednesday, the Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve confirmed in a statement.
The US-led coalition used fighter and bomber aircraft to conduct seven airstrikes in Syria, namely near Al Hasakah, where "two airstrikes destroyed four oil derricks," and near Kobani, where "five airstrikes destroyed five ISIL buildings and six ISIL fighting positions," CJTF-OIR revealed.
In Iraq, fighter and drone aircraft carried out three airstrikes; two near Fallujah, where "airstrikes struck two ISIL tactical units," and one near Mosul, which "struck one ISIL fighting position, destroyed two ISIL fighting positions, and struck one ISIL tactical unit," the statement affirmed.
Casualty figures, if any, were not revealed.
