
Two soldiers and ten insurgents have been killed in separate military operations across the country in past 24 hours, spokesman for the Afghan Ministry of Defense General Zahir Azimi said.
General Zahir Azimi said in a statement on Tuesday that two Afghan National Army soldiers were killed due to an explosion and enemy fires in past 24 hours. But he has not specified the location of the incidents in his statement, according to the Afghan (Khaama Press).
Azimi's statement added that 10 insurgents were also killed and two others wounded in two provinces.
The statement adds that 15 different types of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were also discovered and defused by security forces during the operations in Ghazni and Paktika provinces.
