The Council of Arab Economic Unity (CAEU) rejected all Israeli attempts to Juadaize al-Quds (occupied East Jerusalem).
The council in a statement on Thursday asserted that all Israeli excavations under Al Aqsa mosque are illegal, calling on international, organizations concerned with ancient sites especially UNESCO, to shoulder responsibility in maintaining the Islamic and Christian sites in the holy city.
It also called on Arab states to quickly move to put an end to Israeli schemes which constitute a brazen violation of international laws.
The statement stressed the importance of inter-Palestinian reconciliation and backing Egypt's efforts to achieve it.
The council decided to hold its coming session in Sudan.
