
A drone fired a missile at a car suspecting to carry al-Qaida militants in Yemen's northeast province of Marib on Saturday, killing at least two people, a security source told Xinhua.
He said the airstrike targeted the suspected militants in Almanin area south of Marib.
"Two bodies charred and the car totally burned," the source said on condition of anonymity.
It wasn't clear who was behind the drone strike, but the United States has often ran such air strikes on terrorist inside the Yemeni soil since September 11 terror attacks on New York and Washington.
It used air bases in neighbouring country to launch drone strikes. The United States has since faced a worldwide criticism campaigns from human rights organizations which claim that most victims of drone strikes were civilians.
