Protected by Israeli forces, 12 buses packed with hundreds of settlers stormed Joseph Tomb, where they performed religious rituals, triggering clashes with Palestinian locals.
Israeli soldiers opened live fire at Palestinian locals who attempted to prevent settlers from storming the religious site, said Palestinian WAFA news agency.
Clashes reportedly erupted in Balata and 'Askar refugee camps and the vicinity of the religious site. No detentions were reported.
