Israeli gunships detained Thursday five Palestinian fishermen sailing offshore al Sudaniya to the northwest of Gaza city.
The gunships intercepted a Palestinian fishing boat sailing offshore al Sudaniya and detained five fishermen from one family, according to local sources.
Israeli navy seized and escorted the fishermen in their fishing boat and transferred the detainees to the Israeli seaport of Ashdod.
Israeli naval boats routinely open fire on Palestinian fishermen sailing within the six-nautical-miles zone, flagrantly violating the ceasefire deal, which was signed under Egypt's sponsorship last summer.
