Israeli forces Tuesday detained at least five Palestinians in predawn raids into Hebron and Bethlehem districts, said Palestinian security sources.
Forces raided Surif town, northwest of Hebron, in the southern West Bank and detained four Palestinians. To the north of Hebron, forces handcuffed and detained a Palestinian after storming and thoroughly ransacking his family house in Beit Fajjat town, south of Bethlehem.
Israeli military vehicles raided the town from its eastern entrance and deployed in the Sahlat-Eid and al-Muthalath areas, sparking clashes with local youths. Troops fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades toward local houses in al-Ahmar mosque and the western neighborhood.
