A Palestinian Monday was shot and injured with a rubber-coated steel bullet, whereas several others suffocated during clashes with Israeli forces in the Ramallah village of Beit Rima, according to local sources.
Clashes broke out between the village locals and armed Israeli sliders, who used rubber baton rounds and tear gas canisters against the former.
A youth received a rubber-coated bullet in his foot, while several locals suffocated due to inhaling tear gas.
Forces reportedly raided and searched a number of chicken farms situated around the village.
Shortly after, forces placed a military checkpoint at the entrance of the village, stopping passing Palestinian-registered cars and checking the identification cards of passengers.
Israel forces often close off the checkpoint and prevent locals' movement in and out of the village, forcing them to take long alternative detours through neighbouring villages in order to reach services and livelihoods.
