Israeli occupation forces allowed on Monday tens of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to visit their family members in Eshel Prison in southern Israel.
In press statements, spokeswoman for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Suhair Zaqout said 32 Palestinians, including eight children, crossed the Erez/Beit Hanoun crossing to visit 19 of their family members in Eshel jail.
The visit coincides with a permanent sit-in held by the families of the prisoners in the West Bank, the Strip and Al-Quds (occupied east Jerusalem) outside the ICRC headquarters demanding the release of their relatives jailed in Israel.
Nearly 7,000 Palestinians, including 300 Gazans, are jailed in 22 Israeli prisons and detention centers.
