
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Sunday a phone call from Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
King Hamad offered condolences to President Sisi and families of the victims of the EgyptAir plane that crashed into the Mediterranean in the wee hours of Thursday.
He noted that Bahrain will remain a strong supporter of Egypt in light of deeply-rooted relations binding the two countries.
Sisi, for his part, thanked the Bahraini monarch for his warm feeling and stressed Egypt's keenness to bolster ties with Bahrain in all fields.
EgyptAir flight MS804 was en route from Paris to Cairo with 66 passengers and crew when it crashed in the early hours of Thursday.
