
Jordan condemned on Tuesday the assassination of the Russian envoy to Turkey, Andrei Karlov, who was gunned down at an art gallery in Ankara, Petra news agency reported.
Jordan's State Minister for Media Affairs and Government Spokesperson, Mohammad Momani, reiterated Jordan's rejection to all terrorist acts, which constitute a flagrant violation of all international norms and laws .
This heinous crime is totally unacceptable, harms diplomatic relations between countries and destabilizes regional stability and security, the minister said.
Momani reaffirmed the need to strengthen international cooperation and efforts to confront and stamp out terrorists and stop their evil plans.
The spokesperson expressed Jordan's solidarity with Russia and Turkey in confronting these cowardly acts and extended condolences to the Russian government and family of the slain envoy.
