French top flight side Ajaccio, just three points off the drop zone, today sacked coach Alex Dupont, chairman Alain Orsoni said in noting what he termed "a divorce between the coach and his players." Dupont, who only arrived in June, will be replaced in the interim by assistants Stephane Paganelli and Thierry Debes, Orsoni told the club website. Saturday's 3-2 defeat at fellow strugglers Troyes on Saturday proved to be the final straw for the Ajaccio board. Ajaccio, who just preserved their place among the elite last season, are presently 14th in the table. Dupont, 58 and who was named Ligue 2 coach of the year in 2010, joined Ajaccio after being sacked by Ligue 1 side Brest, replacing Olivier Pantaloni, who had resigned.
