Algerian national football team is to host Gambia’s Friday from 20.30 p.m. at Mustapha Tchaker satdium in Blida (50km south of Algiers). The desert Foxes, who beat Gambia in Banjul (2-1) in the first leg match, are determined to win their ticket to the third and last round of the African Cup of Nations 2013 (ACN) qualifiers. Four days after their defeat against Mali (2-1) as part of 2014 World Cup qualifiers, the Desert Foxes will have to win to overcome the defeat, the first under Vahid Halilhodzic’s coaching. Halilhodzic called the players to forget the defeat in Ouagadougou to restore fans’ faith in them. "I expect good reaction from my players against Gambia. I asked them to forget the defeat against Mali, and get prepared to win Friday match," the national coach said. The Gambian team, with a new coach, namely the Italian Luciano Mancini, will try to win after two defeats, including one against Algeria, and one draw. Gambian’s last victory dates back to 10 August 2011, over DR Congo (3-1).
