Atlante came out on top of an action-packed second half to beat Monterrey 3-1 and prevent their opponents moving into the top five of the Clausura table on Sunday. After a goalless first period, Jose Fonseca broke the deadlock two minutes after half-time, before strikes from Cristian Maidana (71) and Esteban Paredes (76) made the scoreline more comfortable. Aldo De Nigris pulled one back eight minutes from the end but it was not enough for Monterrey. Puebla beat Morelia by the same scoreline in a match in which the visitors ended up with nine men. The hosts got a little bit if help as Joel Huiqui Andrade's own goal put them ahead in the 15th minute, then, after Hector Mancilla (21) had equalised, Felix Borja (26) re-established the advantage. In a dramatic last couple of minutes, Carlos Morales and Mancilla were sent off for Morelia, and Matias Alustiza scored to pad Puebla's lead. Elsewhere, Guadalajara and San Luis drew 1-1, courtesy of goals from Marco Fabian (23) and Mauro Matos (54) respectively, while Unam Pumas v Santos Laguna was goalless. From FIFA
