Third-placed Besiktas moved back to within five points of second-placed Fenerbahce with a 3-2 win at home over Genclerbirligi. Portuguese international trio Ricardo Quaresma, Hugo Almeida, and Manuel Fernandes all scored second-half goals to earn Besiktas a comeback win, with Genclerbirligi's strikes coming from Herve Tum and Randall Azofeifa. The victory also helped Besiktas open up a three-point gap over fourth-placed Trabzonspor, who could only draw 3-3 at Kayserispor. It might have been even worse for Trabzonspor though as they trailed Kayserispor by two goals and then 3-1 following a brace from Emir Kujovic and another from Eren Gungor for the hosts. However, goals from Volcan Sen and a late double from Burak Yilmaz helped the visitors salvage a point. In the day's other game, a 44th-minute Muhammet Demir helped struggling Gaziantepspor upset Orduspor 1-0, while Karabukspor recorded a 2-1 away win over Eskisehirspor. Mehmet Yildiz struck in the 25th and 62nd minutes to give Karabukspor the points as Eskisehirspor could only net a last-minute consolation through Erkan Zengin.
