Boca stay top despite draw

Argentinian Apertura leaders Boca Juniors were held to a 1-1 draw at Argentinos Juniors, but Racing Club and Newell's Old Boys were unable to capitalise. Pablo Ledesma's penalty 10 minutes before half-time, cancelling out Alejandro Capurro's opener eight minutes earlier, earned Boca their point, which ensured they maintained a one-point cushion at the summit. Argentinos had Diego Placente sent off in the 65th minute but Boca could not find a winner despite their extra man.
