Busquets extends contract at Barcelona

Spain midfielder Sergio Busquets has extended his contract at Barcelona until the end of the 2017/18 season, the Liga champions annuonced on Tuesday. The 25-year-old will remain at the Camp Nou until June 30 2018 with the option to stay another year, director of football, Andoni Zubizarreta told a news conference. The player's buyout clause remains at 150 million euros ($196 million, £130 million), the club added on its website fcbarcelona.com. Busquets has made 238 appearances for the first team, scoring eight goals, and is considered one of the mainstays of the side. From: AFP
