Congo DR striker Dieumerci Mbokani was on Wednesday named Belgian player of the year, but the Anderlecht player said celebrations will be put on hold until after the CAF Africa Cup of Nations. The 27-year-old beat off Jelle Vossen of Genk and Anderlecht goalkeeper Silvio Proto for the award. "I won't celebrate my Soulier d'Or award until I have returned from the Africa Cup. I am dreaming of making the final with Congo," he said. "Like my idol, Didier Drogba, I want to also become the best African footballer." From FIFA
