Hellas Verona have begun shaping their squad for a return to Serie A by agreeing a deal for Palermo midfielder Massimo Donati. The Gialloblu will compete in the top flight for the first time in 11 years having finished second to Sassuolo in Serie B and, pending a medical, 32-year-old Donati will support their cause at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi. A statement published on Hellas' official website read: "Hellas Verona have reached an agreement with US Palermo for the transfer of Massimo Donati. The midfielder's full registration will be transferred after medical tests." A former AC Milan, Celtic and Bari player, Donati made 28 league appearances for Palermo in the 2012-13 season but the Sicilians were relegated from Serie A. Source: fifa.com
