FC Tom Tomsk scored their biggest win of a wretched season on Saturday with a 3-0 home victory over Terek Grozny. Defender Roman Nakhushev placed a pinpoint free kick into the top corner in first-half stoppage time to open the scoring for the Siberians. The second came on 68 minutes, a bullet header from Ilya Gultyayev leaving Terek goalkeeper Yaroslav Godzyur with no chance. Denis Boyarintsev lashed home five minutes before time to give Tomsk just their seventh league win of the season. Tomsk occupy the second-from-bottom relegation slot but move to 32 points, five behind Krylya Sovetov, who are in the relegation playoff zone. Terek remain in eleventh on 44 points. Tomsk's previous biggest win this term was a 3-1 away win at Dan Petrescu's FC Kuban in July. Meanwhile, Krylya can restore the eight-point gap against Amkar later Saturday. Kuban play Lokomtiv later, before Zenit host CSKA in a game that could all but decide the title race.
