Borussia Moenchengladbach's hold on the fourth and final Champions League spot for next season weakened on Tuesday as they were held 2-2 by 10-man Werder Bremen in their Bundesliga clash. Moenchengladbach - who have turned things round remarkably from avoiding relegation last season through a play-off - still hold a seven-point lead over VFB Stuttgart with four games remaining. However, as their form has tailed off, Stuttgart's has got better and better and Tuesday's 3-1 win over struggling Augsburg was their eighth game without defeat, a run which has seen them record six wins and two draws and score 22 goals. Moenchengladbach looked well set for the three points when a double by Mike Hanke saw them come from behind to lead with 24 minutes remaining against a Bremen side that had been reduced to 10 men when Sebastian Boenisch was sent-off in the first half. However, Bremen - who are sixth in the table - levelled through Naldo in the 74th minute and held on. Wednesday sees the much-anticipated top of the table clash between defending champions Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich with the leaders going into the match three points ahead of their rivals.
