Thierry Henry scored twice as the New York Red Bulls beat the Colorado Rapids 4-1 to earn their first win of the season on Sunday. After two away defeats, New York put on a show in their opening home game of the campaign as they plundered two goals in the first six minutes against opponents who had won their first pair of games. Henry opened the scoring after three minutes before laying on a pass for Cooper who struck the second. Former Arsenal striker Henry stretched New York's lead in the 54th minute, and although Colorado pulled a goal back 13 minutes from the end with a curling strike from Omar Cummings, the hosts had the final say in the 89th minute as Cooper tapped in. Kei Kamara tucked in a late winner as Sporting Kansas City came from behind to beat FC Dallas 2-1. That atoned for his earlier penalty miss and gave home side Kansas two wins from two outings this season. Ricardo Villar swept a free-kick past static Sporting goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen to put Dallas ahead after 25 minutes, but Aurelien Collin levelled just before half-time for the home side with a header from eight yards. Kamara should have put Sporting ahead in the 50th minute but Kevin Hartman made a fine save from his low penalty which was heading for the bottom left corner. It did not prove crucial as Kamara had the final say in the 88th minute, prodding past Hartman at the goalkeeper's near post after a cross from the right.
