The Bianconeri are keen to add a high-profile name to their attack in the summer transfer window, and have earmarked the Dutchman as a priority in their shopping list.Juventus are looking into the possibility of luring Robin van Persie away from Arsenal at the end of the season, and have already contacted the player’s agent to discuss a potential deal, Goal.com has learned. The Old Lady are eager to add some fresh blood to their attack ahead of the 2012-13 campaign, and are closely monitoring the situation of players such as Athletic Bilbao’s Iker Muniain and Chelsea’s Fernando Torres.Nevertheless, the 28-year-old Van Persie appears to be the Turin giants’ main priority at present as they feel the Netherlands international could help them close the gap to Europe’s elite clubs. Van Persie has a contract with Arsenal until the summer of 2013, and has so far been hesitant to sign a new deal with the Gunners. Arsenal CEO Ivan Gazidis has told Van Persie that he will not be sold this summer, even if he does not sign a contract extension. However, the former Feyenoord star is believed to be keen to move on as he wants to fight for silverware, and is also looking for a pay rise. It is unsure whether Van Persie is interested in a move to Juventus, though, following the club’s absence from the Champions League in recent years. The Dutchman joined Arsenal from Feyenoord in the summer of 2004 and has since developed into the club’s prized asset following departures of Thierry Henry and Cesc Fabregas. The attacker has scored over 120 competitive goals for the Gunners, and currently leads the Premier League goalscoring charts with 27 goals in 34 appearances this season.
