Liverpool avoid upset, Swans hold Arsenal

Liverpool edged past non-league Mansfield Town 2-1 in the FA Cup third round today as the Premier League side were forced to hang on, after Arsenal were held to a 2-2 draw by Swansea City. Luis Suarez came off the bench to double Liverpool's lead after Daniel Sturridge had opened the scoring on his debut, but his strike prompted an angry reaction from the fifth-tier hosts, who later replied through Matt Green, believing the Reds striker had handled en route to goal.
