Liverpool goalkeeper Alexander Doni will miss Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Everton after losing his appeal on Thursday over a red card against Blackburn. The decision by the Football Association to force the Brazilian to serve a one match suspension with immediate effect paves the way for a shock Wembley appearance for Australian third-choice keeper Brad Jones. Jones's appearance off the bench at Ewood Park on Tuesday was his first since December 2010 and only his third since arriving from Middlesbrough almost two years ago. Doni was sent off for bringing down Junior Hoilett as he raced through on goal with Liverpool leading 2-0. The referee Anthony Taylor awarded a penalty to Rovers only for Jones to save Ayegbeni Yakubu's spot-kick.
