Germany coach Joachim Loew admits he is wary of facing Austria in Vienna for Tuesday’s 2014 World Cup qualifier with the hosts seeking a rare win over their neighbours. The Germans laboured to a 3-0 win over Group C minnows Faroe Islands in Hanover on Friday with two goals from Mesut Ozil and one from Mario Goetze, but Loew expects the Austrians to be a tougher challenge. Austria start their qualifying campaign at Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadium with the Germans having won 23 of their previous 37 meetings. “Austria will of course want to win, so it will be a totally different type of game,” said Loew. “The Austrians are stronger than they have been for years. They will want to make our lives far from easy.”
