Panathinaikos pulled five points clear at the Greek Super League summit with a routine 2-0 victory at Ergotelis. Simao Mate Junior opened the scoring for the visitors in the 55th minute, while substitute Charalampos Mavrias made sure of the points when he added a second four minutes later. The win lifts Pana further clear of second-placed Olympiacos, who play Panionios tomorrow. In the day's other game, Asteras Tripoli saw off FC Xanthi 1-0 in a stormy encounter that saw three players sent off. Emanuel Perrone scored the winning goal for the visitors in the 67th minute, but the closing stages were marred when Marko Markovski saw red for Xanthi on 70 minutes, before Asteras lost Savas Tsambouris to a second booking three minutes later. The victors finished the game with nine men when Ruben Rayo was dismissed, also for a second yellow, in stoppage time.
