Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven were given a scare by third tier Achilles '29 before coming through their KNVB Beker second-round clash 3-2. Thijs Hendricks got the minnows off to an ideal start by opening the scoring in the second minute before PSV took control. The visitors levelled in the 25th minute through Jurgen Locadia and netted twice more before the break thanks to Mathias Jorgensen and Timothy Derijck. But there was plenty of fight left in Achilles and Ivo Rigter made it 3-2 in the 63rd minute, but they could not find a leveller. AZ Alkmaar had a rather easier passage as they swept aside SC Veendam 4-1, Viktor Elm with a first-half hat-trick. Elm scored in the eighth and 20th minutes and completed his treble from the penalty spot in the 34th as AZ led 3-0 at the break. Jozy Altidore made it 4-0 with another penalty in the 76th minute before Tom Overtoom got a consolation two minutes later. Elsewhere, EHC knocked out De Zouaven 1-0. From : Fifa
